ProComfort Roughing Gouges
Designed for use between lathe centres on parallel grain, the deep and wide flutes of our spindle roughing gouges remove material with speed. Ideal for roughing out spindle blanks but they can also be useful for some finer work.

ProComfort Dovetail Tool
Create the perfect dovetailed recess or spigot with this specially designed turning tool. The profile is ground to 80° to match the dovetail angle of Record Power chuck jaws, ensuring an accurate fit every time. Simply offer one edge of the tool flat against the bottom of the bowl and use the opposite cutting edge to create either a recess or spigot. The jaws will then fit the workpiece perfectly, ensuring the best possible grip is achieved.

Our rolled edge skew chisels are probably the most versatile tool for working between centres - they can give a silky-smooth finish and are ideal for creating beads, coves and other decorative elements. The rolled edge gives greater control of the tool, allowing for smooth and precise movement and more controlled tilting on the tool rest than is possible with a traditional straight-edged tool.
